Supriya Habbu

Supriya Habbu has a Master of Arts (English Language and Literature) from the University of Mumbai, and a Master of Arts (Applied Linguistics) from York University. She also has the University of Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and the TESL Diploma.

Supriya started teaching ESL at Sheridan College in 2013 and has taught academic English to international and domestic students. Besides teaching ESL, Supriya has taught undergraduate courses in English language and literature and conducted training on business communication, and soft skills in a variety of contexts. Her teaching and training experience in Canada and overseas includes being a TESL trainer, teaching in post-secondary institutions, private language schools, community colleges, government-funded language programs, and in the IT industry.

Supriya’s areas of interest are technology-mediated language learning and teaching, and assessment. She has also presented workshops on integrating technology into language teaching at various conferences.
