Frequently Asked Questions

  • As a Sheridan alumnus, you can continue to access your Sheridan email account and myStudentCentre where you can access transcripts, grades and other information associated with your student record. If you need assistance accessing your Sheridan email or resetting your password, please contact Sheridan IT at 905-845-9430 ext. 2150 or use the live chat option.

  • Digital transcript requests can be made online through myStudentCentre. Documents are processed hourly and sent to MyCreds™, an electronic portal that provides students and alumni with greater mobility in accessing and sharing official transcripts with employers or other third parties. View detailed instructions on how to submit a transcript request.

    You will receive a confirmation email from MyCreds™ to your Sheridan email address once your digital transcript is available. It will include a link to the MyCreds™ Learner Portal and important instructions on how to activate your account. Once you sign in to the portal using your Sheridan email address, you will be able to view and share your document.

    If you need to reset your password, or obtain your username, please contact the IT department at 905-459-7533 x2150. If you do not know your Sheridan Student ID, you can obtain it by emailing the Alumni Office at alumni@sheridancollege.ca.

    Should your academic records predate Fall 1994, or if you require a hard copy version of your transcript, please email academic-history@sheridancollege.ca.

  • Please contact the Office of the Registrar at academic-history@sheridancollege.ca to obtain a replacement diploma/degree.

    Please note: Sheridan does not provide copies of credentials. If you are declaring a lost certificate, there is a replacement fee of $50.00 CAD. For lost or misplaced credentials, the Office of the Registrar will flag the original one as invalid. Once you have reached out to the Office of the Registrar you will be sent payment information. When the payment has been received, they will reprint your diploma/degree and mail it out to you.

  • To receive the monthly e-newsletter, simply make sure Sheridan has your most up-to-date home address and e-mail address by completing the Update Contact Details form.

  • View and order a Sheridan frame for your diploma or degree. Frames will be delivered directly to your home.

  • To obtain your student number, Please contact us via email at alumni@sheridancollege.ca.

  • Sheridan alumni are eligible for discounted memberships at our Trafalgar (Oakville) and Davis (Brampton) fitness centres. Includes access to fitness equipment, gymnasiums, and classes.

    Rates:

    • 12 months: $248.60
    • 8 months: $186.45
    • 4 months: $141.25

    Register at your preferred campus and bring your digital Alumni Card (To obtain your card, register for Sheridan Forever Blue, our exclusive alumni app)

    Note: Alumni memberships are not available at Hazel McCallion Campus (HMC).

  • As a Sheridan graduate, you have access to:

    • Borrowing Print Materials: With your Alumni Card and valid photo ID (annual $20 fee)
    • Access to library spaces during regular hours at all campuses

    Please note that alumni do not have access to online databases due to licensing restrictions.

    To obtain your card, register for Sheridan Forever Blue, our exclusive alumni app.

  • Looking for your convocation pictures taken backstage? Search the most recent photos.

    Recent graduates can access Stage Clips to see the video taken of them crossing the stage at Convocation.

    1. Log in to myStudentCentre (if you cannot remember your login information please contact Sheridan IT for support at extension 2150)
    2. In your dashboard, select the "Financial Account" tile.
    3. In the left-hand sidebar, select "View my T2202."
    4. Select the appropriate year from the dropdown menu to view your T2202 PDF.
  • Sheridan Alumni maintain access to the Career Centre's services. Sheridan's Career Centre helps support recent graduates as they start their careers. We can help you explore your career options, find work and get hired, and plan your future.

    Graduates can also find employment opportunities through Sheridan's online job board. Visit sheridanworks.sheridancollege.ca to search for full-time, part-time, summer, contract, freelance or volunteer (not-for-profit) positions. For assistance, email sheridanworkscareers@sheridancollege.ca

  • Visit Sheridan's Continuing and Professional Studies website for more information about continuing education and corporate training.

  • Visit our Support Sheridan page to learn how you can donate to Sheridan.

    • Connect with one of our Immigration Advisors to discuss your situation to determine what information/advice they can offer.  You can find information for booking an appointment with one of our Immigration Advisors here: International Student Services | Sheridan Central  Appointments can be booked 1-day in advance.
  • Alumni typically lose access after 180 days, or approximately two semesters, as the College only has enough licenses available for currently registered active students. Please ensure you have backed up all your information prior to this deadline.
  • The Office of the Registrar issues your graduation documents which could take up to 3-4 weeks after your program completion. Please continue checking your Sheridan emails for the document. We ask that you do not apply for PGWP without these documents.

    If you need a customized letter, please submit a Service Request on myStudent Centre via the My Service Requests tile. The department who receives the service request will review it to see if they are able to assist.

  • Yes. When you are a recent graduate, you are eligible to apply for guard.me Canada coverage.

    You must apply within 30 days of your guard.me policy expiry date. If you miss the deadline, you will not be eligible to apply for graduate coverage.

    Before you apply, review the plan that is available to you, as it may not be the same plan that you have had throughout school.

    There is a minimum purchase requirement, and the most you can purchase as a recent graduate is one year.

  • Please use the guard.me Canadian Clinic location tool to find a clinic that you can visit in-person.

    You can also use mobileDOCTOR by guard.me, which allows you to connect with Canadian doctors on Maple — a telemedicine company — as part of your health benefits. Maple provides access to doctors, Canada-wide, on your phone, tablet or computer anytime, anywhere.

    Seeing a doctor on Maple is safe and reliable and can prevent the need to go to a walk-in clinic or Emergency Room.

As a graduate you are entitled to receive news and updates from Sheridan College, as well as receive group discount offers from Sheridan Alumni affinity partners. The strength of Sheridan’s large alumni base enables us to offer attractive group rates for services such as home and auto insurance. Our affinity partners also provide a source of revenue that helps fund alumni services and events, as well as student awards. All alumni information is kept strictly confidential. The use of this information is solely for the marketing of specific and approved affinity benefit services.

At any time, if you no longer wish your name to be included for these benefits, please contact the Alumni Office at 905-815-4078 or alumni@sheridancollege.ca. It is possible to exclude your name from specific benefit provider promotions and still ensure you receive communication material from the Sheridan Alumni Office.
