Fee Deadlines
As a student, you are responsible for understanding and ensuring payment of all amounts owed to Sheridan by the applicable due dates.
You are expected to regularly review your Account Summary to ensure charges are as expected, payments have been applied to your account and your balance is paid in full.
Your payment must be received by Sheridan by the due dates below.
Please allow enough time for processing so your payment arrives on time. Payments can take up to five business days to be received.
Tuition deposit
You need to pay a non-refundable tuition deposit once per academic year. If you are starting a new program, a non-refundable tuition deposit is also required. Deposit amounts vary based on your student status.
Student status
- New student: a student who is starting a new program.
- Returning student: a student who is returning to the same program in a new academic year.
- Continuing student: a student who is continuing in their program and was enrolled in an earlier term in the same academic year.
Paying your non-refundable tuition deposit confirms and reserves your seat in the program (new international students must pay full first semester fees to reserve their seat). If you change your mind after paying your non-refundable tuition deposit, you must formally withdraw by the 10th day of the term. If you do not formally withdraw, you remain financially responsible for the full tuition and fees for the term.
Start of Term Guide
If you are a continuing student, you must complete the Start of Term Guide in your myStudent Centre account.

Outstanding Balance
If you have an outstanding balance greater than $100 following the applicable payment due date, a financial hold will be put on your account. When your account is on hold, you cannot enrol in further courses at Sheridan or receive official documents such as transcripts or letters of enrolment. To have the hold removed, you must pay your outstanding balance in full. We do not accept payment arrangements for outstanding balances.
If you are paying a non-refundable tuition deposit and have an outstanding balance from a previous term, your payment will be applied against your outstanding balance. Any remaining funds will be applied against your required non-refundable tuition deposit. Your non-refundable tuition deposit must be paid in full to hold your seat in the upcoming term. Check your Student Account Summary regularly so that you are aware of any outstanding balances as soon as possible.
In addition to your account being placed on hold, if your outstanding balance exceeds $100, a late payment charge of $150 will be applied to your student account.
