Assessment Centre Update

Sheridan’s Assessment Centre is now supporting students remotely. If you have any questions, or require assistance, please connect with an Assessment Specialist by email:

Davis: for the Davis campus (Brampton)
HMC: for the HMC campus (Mississauga)
Trafalgar: for the Trafalgar campus (Oakville)

The Sheridan Assessment Centre provides services to Sheridan applicants, students and faculty by administering admission and placement assessments, and invigilating make-up tests/exams. The Assessment Centre also offers proctoring services to other educational institutions.

  • ALS Assessment

    Students registered with Accessible Learning Services are asked to follow a few simple steps when booking an assessment.
  • Apprenticeship Exemption Test

    Sheridan is a ministry-approved Apprenticeship Exemption Test centre, authorized through the Ministry of Advanced Education & Skills Development (MAESD), for both apprentices and non-apprentices.
  • English Proficiency Assessment

    Some applicants are required to successfully complete an English language proficiency assessment to determine their eligibility to meet Sheridan’s admission requirements.
  • Math Equivalency Tests

    Students who apply to Sheridan’s certificate and diploma programs who do not have the required secondary school credentials for admission into the program, must demonstrate their ability to work at the postsecondary level by completing an equivalency test.
  • ESL Assessment

    An ESL Placement Test may be required for students applying to PGASE - English Language Studies (ESL) at Sheridan.
  • Health Occupation Aptitude Examination

    Health Occupation Aptitude Examination (HOAE) – is a required standardized pre-admission test for all applicants in Practical Nursing (PPNSG) and Veterinary Technician (PVETT).
  • Assessment Information Sessions

    If you are an applicant to a Sheridan program and are interested in finding out more about the admission assessment that you are required to take, please come to one of our Assessment Information Sessions.
  • Language Assessment - Communication Course Placement Challenge

    Students placed in the Communication Foundations (COMM 19997) communications skills course can challenge their placement through a Language Assessment.
  • Make Up Tests

    Make Up Tests are available to Sheridan students who have missed an in-class exam, quiz, or assignment for reasons beyond their control.
  • Mature Student Testing

    Mature student testing may be required for applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for their specific programs. In that case, a student may be requested by the admissions office to complete a Mature Student Test for English, math or science.
