Dr. Hodder is currently a professor for the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Kinesiology and Health Promotion) program at Sheridan College. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Coop Hounours and her Master's of Science in Biomechanics from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well as a Doctoral degree in Occupational Biomechanics from McMaster University. She futher completed 2 Post-doctoral Fellowships, at Queen's University and McMaster University. Joanne's teaching areas include biomechanics, ergonomics, motor control, occupational health and safety and research. Joanne's research interests are mainly in ergonomics and shoulder, back and pelvic floor biomechanics. Her most recent research grant examined the efficiacy of a biomechanical technique intervention on high force components of Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police test.
