International Application: How to Apply

  • Use our programs database to choose from more than 130 diploma, degree and graduate certificate program options across five faculties.

Each individual program listing contains program information, learning outcomes, courses, career opportunities, admission requirements and program intakes.

You can list up to three preferred programs in your application, so be sure to explore your options.

    Tip

Please refer to the admission requirements listed on the program page. Some of the programs have additional admission requirements (such as portfolio) or require students to complete an assessment as part of admissions criteria (such as HOAE).

  • Applying online is the only way you can apply. Sheridan doesn't have paper applications.

The non-refundable application fee of $100 is payable online by credit card at the time of application.

Note that the Application Fee is valid for three program choices only.

Your email confirmation about successful submission will be sent to you within minutes of submitting payment. This email confirms the successful submission of your application.

    Tips

    • Be sure to use your full legal name (as it appears in your passport).
    • Academic and other required documents can be submitted directly within the online application, or through Sheridan’s Applicant Portal after you submit your application.
    • Include your personal email address on your application form.

    Apply online

  • After you apply online, you will receive important information from Sheridan by email within 1 to 5 business days after submitting your application.

    You will receive:

    • a nine-digit Sheridan ID number. Include this with any correspondence about your application.
    • a username and password; you will use these to access the Sheridan Application Portal, where you can track the status of your application. You will also use this for your Sheridan Webmail account (myusername@sheridancollege.ca); this is your personal email account with Sheridan and will become our main point source of sending you information. You are required to check this account regularly for communications.
  • Academic and other required documents can be submitted directly within the online application, or through the checklists in the Sheridan Application Portal after you submit your application.

Attach an official transcript of the academic record from the students’ secondary school or postsecondary institution. In case the transcripts/certificates are not in English, note that these documents must be accompanied by a notarized, official translation into English. Translated copies must also be accompanied by a copy of the original transcript.

    Additional admissions requirements:

    • You may have to satisfy additional admissions requirements (i.e. submitting a portfolio)
    • To find out if there any additional requirements associated with the program(s) you are applying to:
      • Log on to the Sheridan Application Portal with your Sheridan username and password
      • Under the program heading click the "Instructions for supplemental/portfolio submission" link to view the Applicant Information Sheet for detailed instructions and due dates.
  • Confirming your acceptance at Sheridan is only a click away! Once you receive your Sheridan offer letter, please log into the Sheridan Application Portal to confirm your acceptance. Under the Program heading you will then see a link to "Accept/Decline Admission," select this link and it will give you the option to accept your offer. Please keep in mind, once your offer letter is issued you must accept within two weeks of the date printed on the letter or your offer may expire.

    Tip

    • If you applied to more than one program, you may receive a separate letter for each.  You may only accept one offer of admission, but you may change your choice at a later date, space permitting.
  • Fee estimates are enclosed in your offer letter. Please note the deadline to pay is 4 weeks after the offer letter issue date.

Review the program fees to prepare the fund in advance: choose the program from programs database>>Fees & Financial Aid>> Fees for International students

Failure to pay your fees by the fee deadline specified in your Fee Estimate could mean your preferred program will not be available to you.

    Tip

    • Also see Methods of Payment
    • To access your fee receipt: 1) Login to your Sheridan Central account, 2) Click on MyStudentCentre, 3) Under Finances, select View my receipts from the dropdown menu and click “>>” (be sure to enable Popups in your internet browser to view).

Please note that your fee receipt is visible only after your program status is showing “Fees Paid” in the Sheridan Application Portal. It currently takes 5-10 business days for your status to be updated to “Fees Paid” after your payment arrives in your Sheridan account. We ask for your patience for the status update in order to access the receipt.
