Eva Wan spent five years working in various capacities in the electronics and telecommunication industries in Hong Kong and Singapore. Her contributions in product manufacturing and research and development work won her the Spot Award from AT&T Pte. Ltd in Singapore.

Eva started her teaching career in a polytechnic in Singapore, where she was a lecturer for 17 years. She continued to be actively engaged in the industry via student projects and a student internship program. As a senior lecturer in the polytechnic, Eva was appointed the role of resource person for the Teaching and Learning Effectiveness Circle in the department, where she facilitated meetings and discussions among faculty members to enhance the teaching & learning process and experience with students in the diploma. She was also a student adviser, and was awarded the role of subject leader for various core subjects in the diploma.

In her last three years teaching in Singapore, Eva was selected as one of the four members representing the polytechnic to take part in the design and conduct of an applied subject in animation, attaining experience in 3D media design. The Ministry of Education assigned her as a member of the Cambridge “O-Level” Board of Examiners for the subject.

Eva returned to Canada in 2010, bringing her invaluable knowledge and expertise in the field of engineering and teaching to Sheridan College.
