Sheridan gearing up to host Virtual Open House
Sheridan College is taking its flagship recruitment event – Fall Open House – virtual this year on November 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Virtual Open House will feature a full suite of online tours and interactive sessions that will allow prospective students and parents to connect with Sheridan staff, get information about programs, admissions and financial aid, explore comprehensive student services and supports, and more.
“We love this time of year and look forward to Open House every November,” says Deanna McQuarrie, Registrar. “While this year’s event will be virtual, prospective students will still be able to interact and engage in meaningful conversation with our talented faculty and staff across Sheridan’s five Faculties. Attendees can explore our campuses virtually and discover everything Sheridan has to offer, from the comfort of their own home.”
Along with live information sessions, there will also be program-specific sessions, service area sessions to highlight campus life and networking opportunities throughout the day. Sheridan is employing a cutting-edge virtual venue tool called Hopin that allows attendees to move in and out of rooms, replicating the feel of an in-person event. It will provide flexibility for participants who are eager to explore programs in various Faculties.
“Participants will also be able to gain first-hand insight from current Sheridan students,” says Andreas Ponvia, Manager, Student Recruitment. “Attendees will have an opportunity to network with our Student Ambassadors, who will answer any questions ‘face to face’ via one-on-one video chat.”
Attendees are asked to register for Virtual Open House through the online form.
