You’re invited to join Sheridan President & Vice Chancellor Dr. Janet Morrison at one of the upcoming holiday cheer events:

  • HMC: December 9, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (B-wing, Creative Commons, first floor)
  • Davis Campus: December 11, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (B-Wing Cafeteria)
  • Trafalgar Campus: December 12, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Lower Cafeteria)

Please take this opportunity to celebrate the season and enjoy some light refreshments with your colleagues.

As the holiday season gets underway, it’s also a great time to think about those in need, both in our own Sheridan community and in the broader regions we serve.

Each year, the generosity of our employees comes to the fore as we support a variety of community-based giving programs. If you’re looking for a way to help out others in need, or bring a smile to a child’s face, there are initiatives underway at each of our campuses, which are outlined below:

HMC – you’re invited to bring an unwrapped toy or gift to the Holiday Cheer on December 9 at 2:30 p.m.  Gifts will be collected for the Peel Regional Police’s Toys for Tots program.  You might also consider making a food donation to the SSU Food Bank, in support of our students.  Contributions will also be collected during the Holiday Cheer.

Davis – FAST’s Engineering Club and Police Foundations program have teamed up to support the Peel Regional Police’s Toys for Tots program. You can deliver your unwrapped gift to the FAST electric vehicle parked in the B-Wing lobby.  Donations are welcome until December 13.  You might also consider making a food donation to the SSU Food Bank, in support of our students. Contributions will be collected during the Holiday Cheer.

Trafalgar – you’re invited to bring an unwrapped toy or gift to the Holiday Cheer on December 12 at 2:30 p.m. Gifts will be collected by the Oakville Fire Department to distribute to community organizations serving those in need. You might also consider making a food donation to the SSU Food Bank, in support of our students. Contributions will be collected during the Holiday Cheer.

Consider making a donation while decorating the holiday tree at each campus with new mittens or socks.  Donations will be delivered to the Salvation Army Family Resource Centre and the Kerr Street Mission, in the new year.

Thanks to everyone for your support. We wish you and your families a peaceful and joyous holiday season.
