Academic Integrity

We provide faculty, staff and students with education, resources and support to foster the understanding and practice of academic integrity at Sheridan.

What is Academic Integrity?

The International Centre for Academic Integrity (ICAI) defines academic integrity as a commitment, even in the face of adversity, to six fundamental values:

  • honesty
  • trust
  • fairness
  • respect
  • responsibility
  • courage (ICAI, 2014)

Sheridan is strongly committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and expects that all of its members maintain the highest standards of academic integrity throughout all areas of academic life, including teaching and learning, research, writing and all other scholarly work.
