Frequently Asked Questions about Parking at HMC

Where do I pick-up my permit?

Permits will be available for pick-up on campus weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Check back to this site before picking-up your permit as the location may be relocated at the start of the semester to service larger volumes of people.

*OneCARD ID must be provided for pick-up of permits (students and employees)*

Where is parking available for Sheridan students and employees?

Parking is provided for employees and students at the Cineplex/IMAX ‘Theatre Lot’, located at the NW corner of Rathburn Rd. W. and Living Arts Dr.

Theatre Lot operating hours are Monday through Friday (excl. statutory holidays), 6 am – 6 pm, however, students and faculty whose classes end at 7 pm or 8 pm, and employees whose shift  begins prior to 6 pm and ends after 8 pm, may visit the Security Desk or contact the Parking Office for more information on a parking extension: parking@sheridancollege.ca.

How do I get a Sheridan Parking Permit?

Annual, one-semester and two-semester hangtag permits are available for the Theatre Lot. Permit Fees are the same as at Sheridan’s other campuses and HMC Sheridan permits are valid at all campuses.

Parking permits are now sold online at epark.sheridancollege.ca. Students and employees will be able to log in with their Sheridan user ID and password to create an account and purchase their permit. Debit and credit cards will be accepted (some restrictions will apply) for all permit types except Annual Employee permits, which will continue to be processed through payroll deduction (this option will also be available at checkout).

Where do Guests and Visitors Park?

Guests and visitors attending HMC must park at the City of Mississauga’s ‘pay and display’ surface lots (e.g. the lot on the west side of Hazel McCallion Campus), garages, or meters. Guests and visitors should not park at the Theatre Lot and are at risk of being ticketed. Note: Pay-and-display permits purchased at a City pay station are not valid at the Theatre Lot.

The City of Mississauga will continue to offer its ‘Bulk Parking’ program for 50 vehicles or more. Contact the City of Mississauga’s website for more information.

Where can Sheridan Employees from other campuses park?

Sheridan employees and students from other campuses may park at the Cineplex/IMAX ‘Theatre Lot’, located at the NW corner of Rathburn Rd. W. and Living Arts Dr. on an occasional basis (typically less than 16 hrs./month) between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm only. A valid Sheridan hangtag parking permit (annual, one-semester or two-semester) or carpooling permit must be properly displayed.

Where is Accessible Parking?

Vehicles displaying a valid, Ministry of Transportation-issued, accessible parking permit may park free of charge in the designated accessible parking spaces or any general parking space at the City of Mississauga’s lots, garages or meters.
