HMC Expansion: The right space to collaborate

State-of-the-art labs, studios and production spaces provide dynamic hands-on places for experiential learning to flourish.

The Creative Campus Complex brings together a Creativity Commons, dedicated space for an Institute for Creativity and an art gallery to foster a creative mindset, engineer cross-disciplinary encounters and showcase new ideas.

The new building will be a leader in energy efficiency, consuming approximately half the energy of most buildings in Canada and setting a new standard for building construction at Sheridan. Operating as a living lab, data about the building’s performance will be accessible to students. Elements of the building construction will also be exposed to view, with interpretive signage leading visitors on an interactive building tour about water efficiency, lighting, indoor environmental quality, structure and energy use.
