Sheridan Reads makes its return with a community-wide literary celebration featuring The Subtweet by Vivek Shraya - a novel that highlights and exposes the social power and politics of social media.
Shraya, a multidisciplinary artist whose work brings together music, literature, visual art, theatre and film, is a five-time Lambda Literary Award finalist. Her writing has been lauded as “cultural rocket fuel” by Vanity Fair, while herizons magazine notes that with each of her trail-blazing new projects, “new space is created for those who come after." Quill and Quire recognizes it as "a postmodern take on A Star is Born."
Sheridan Reads is honoured to welcome Shraya for a virtual event on March 25, 2021 in celebration of The Subtweet. She will be featured in conversation, followed by audience Q&A. This event is free and open to the public.
