Closing Ceremony - Celebrating Black Excellence at Sheridan Year-Round

Date: Mar. 3, 2020

Time: 11 a.m.12 p.m.

Location: Hazel McCallion Campus, 4180 Duke of York Blvd., Mississauga (Internal)

Throughout the month of February, Sheridan celebrated a vibrant Black History Month under the theme, Black Excellence: Stories Through Time. Students, faculties, staff and community partners collaborated on over 10 events and initiatives. They engaged a diverse group of individuals both within Sheridan and the broader community through: a symposium, creative writing, visual arts, performing arts, food and film screenings.

Everyone is welcome to attend a closing ceremony for Black History Month on March 311:30 a.m. to noon, at the Creative Campus Gallery at HMC. We’d like to recognize the efforts of all those who planned and delivered this month’s activities. As well, we acknowledge that Black excellence should be celebrated year-round, not only in February.

Light refreshments will be served.

If you require accommodation and for information about accessibility or any other matter, please contact equity@sheridancollege.ca or call ext. 2229.
