We’re here to support you!

We’ve adapted all of our services and outside-the-classroom programming to ensure you feel supported here at Sheridan. Our staff continues to work remotely via phone, chat, video and online support, providing services such as personal counselling, career advising, information technology, library resources, assistance with assignments and citation, tutoring, time management tips and more.

Office of the Registrar

Although the Office of the Registrar has moved to remote working, we’re as focused on your success as you are — Sheridan offers a complete range of academic support services.

Our staff are available by email or by phone to help you with everything from program information and career advising to admissions questions, financial aid, transcripts, timetables and enrolment letters. Visit myOTR for resources.

Health Services

The Student Health Centres at the Davis and Trafalgar campuses will continue to provide primary health care services virtually or in person throughout January 2022. The Health Centre at the Hazel McCallion campus will re-open after January 24, 2022.

We are not accepting walk-in appointments, but if you call the Health Centre, we will try our best to fit you in on the same day.

You will need to provide your onecard and health card or Guard.me card anytime you are accessing the Health Centres.

All Health Centre appointments are initially booked virtually. A nurse, nurse practitioner or physician will meet with you by phone and then determine if an in-person evaluation is required.

At both Trafalgar and Davis Campuses, the Health Centre provides services in CLINIC and in a separate location called the “DRIVE THRU” for quicker procedures.

  • Therefore, for all in-person appointments, please contact the Health Centre directly for instructions on how you should access the campus as procedures have changed at both campuses during COVID. Please arrive early and be prepared for extra screening measures.

We offer COVID-19 testing for students if they meet the following criteria: 

  • Symptomatic with COVID-19 symptoms 
  • Close contact with COVID-19 positive individuals
  • International students who require COVID testing for placements.

Covid vaccines are available to all Sheridan College students and employees with a booked appointment.

January 2022 update: Beginning January 4, bookstores at all three campuses will operate through curbside pick-up. The Davis bookstore will be open for in-person shopping to accommodate a higher number of in-person classes.

Food Services

January 2022 update: Food services will be limited throughout January 2022.  

The Tim Hortons at the Davis Campus will be open as of January 10, 2022.  
All other food outlets, including those at the Trafalgar and HMC Campuses, will open after January 24, 2022. We hope to be able to expand our offerings as more students, faculty and staff return to campus.

    • Limited menu (breakfast) 

Tim Hortons at the Davis campus will be open on January 10 and all other food outlets, including those at Trafalgar and HMC, will open January 24.  

IT Service Desk

Remote support will be our primary method of supporting the community whether you are learning or working offsite or learning or teaching onsite in a classroom. IT Services has increased capacity for remote support by streamlining escalation paths so that complex issues are resolved faster.

IT Service Desk is available to provide support remotely (phone, chat, email) Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–10 p.m.:

  • IT Service counters will not be open for walk-up support; appointments can be made for drop-off and pick-up of IT equipment.

Library & Learning Commons

January 2022 Update:

Sheridan’s Library & Learning Services teams will be supporting the Sheridan community remotely during the Winter 2022 semester. When on campus, please note the following:

  • Library and Learning commons areas are currently closed. Open study spaces will be available on campus, please see the Study Spaces section below for more details.  
  • To borrow library items, search our catalogue and place a hold on items you need. Pick up of holds is by curbside pick up only while campus library locations are closed. Please allow 7 days for this service. You’ll receive an email confirming when your hold is ready for pickup with details on how to book your curbside pick up appointment. Drop boxes to return library items are located at the entrances of the Davis (H Wing) and Trafalgar (SCAET) campuses.
  • Short term loans, including textbooks, are not currently available to students. Textbooks can be purchased at the Sheridan Bookstore.

Tutoring and Academic Integrity Remediation appointments can be booked through Tutor Ocean. See Tutoring on Sheridan Central for virtual hours and services.

Digital library materials (e-books, articles/e-journals or databases) are always available 24/7 with your Sheridan credentials. Search the Library to discover all the resources the library has to offer!

If you have questions about doing research, citations, or using library services, our Chat with Us instant messaging service is available during our virtual service hours.

onecard

You will be required to present your onecard upon entry to the College and you must have your onecard displayed at all times while on campus. Your onecard is your official photo identification and access card for Sheridan.

Multi-Faith Prayer Rooms 

At Sheridan, there is a multi-faith prayer room on each campus where all members of the Sheridan community may go to pray, meditate, reflect, or individually worship. Communal services are not currently offered.

When using these rooms, please adhere to the posted occupancy signs and follow good hygiene practices (physical distancing, hand washing and the wearing of a non-medical face mask). 

Please bring your own items (prayer mat, book of worship, etc.) and take them with you when you leave. No personal property must be left unattended in these spaces.

  • Davis Campus C-Wing, Room C323 (Occupancy 4 people) 
    • This room contains a temporary divider for those requiring the separation of specific groups. This location does not have an ablution room, however many washrooms in C- Wing have footbaths.  
  • Hazel McCallion Campus A-Wing, Room A126b (Occupancy 2 people) 
  • Trafalgar S-Wing, Rooms S434 (Occupancy 3 people) and S410 (Occupancy 2 people)

Xerox Print Centres

January 2022 update: Xerox will accept online orders, though the in-person counter will be closed until January 24.

We look forward to helping the Sheridan Community with printing and special projects. We will continue to offer curbside pick-up, mailroom drop, or delivery via Purolator.
