Volunteer Opportunities

Being involved in the Sheridan Alumni community is an exciting and rewarding experience. There are many ways to get involved with Sheridan, including:

  • Mentor a student
  • Be a guest speaker
  • Volunteer on the Sheridan Alumni Board of Directors
  • Volunteer as a Program Advisory Member
  • Organize a class reunion
  • Plan an employer visit
  • Hire a student
  • Offer a job placement opportunity
  • Give students a tour of your organization
  • Present a job shadow opportunity for a student
  • Submit a Sheridan Graduate Success Story
  • Make a donation to support a student award, scholarship or bursary

Boards of Directors

Each alumni chapter is led by an Alumni Board of Directors, whose purpose is to reconnect alumni to Sheridan and to other graduates from the same Faculty. Membership in a chapter holds several advantages, including opportunities to cultivate professional relationships and interact socially with other graduates from a particular area of study.

Alumni Boards of Directors can also provide alumni with a way to give back to their alma mater through activities that promote the value of a Sheridan education and strengthen ties between Sheridan, its graduates and the community. Each chapter’s board has a Chair and is comprised of five committees. They are:

  • Networking
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Recruitment
  • Young Alumni
