Sounding Good – Media Arts Grads Garner Nominations for Work in Sound Design

This season's film awards have seen several Media Arts graduates nominated for their work in sound design. Congratulations to Craig Henighan (‘95) who received the nod for his contributions to the film Black Swan from the Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.), the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Jill Purdy (‘96) was also on the M.P.S.E. ballot.

Jill Purdy, as well as Stephen Barden (’95, current Media Arts Faculty) and Alex Bullick (‘02) have been recognized for their work on Resident Evil: Afterlife with a Genie Nomination for Achievement in Sound Editing. Tyler Whitham (‘06), Peter Persaud (‘94) and Mark Zsifkovits (‘96) also worked in the sound department on Resident Evil: Afterlife. Also nominated for a Sound Editing Genie this year is Dave Rose (‘94) for Splice.
