If you graduated from Sheridan during the COVID-19 pandemic, you’ll soon have the chance to cross the stage!

Sheridan is planning in-person ceremonies June 9–11 at The International Centre in Mississauga to recognize individuals from Sheridan’s Class of 2020 and 2021 who graduated virtually.

You’ll be able to physically cross the stage in your regalia and celebrate your achievement with classmates, professors, family and friends.

Graduates from the past two years will soon receive a personalized email with registration details, including the ability to choose one of three times for your ceremony. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and you may want to coordinate times with your friends and classmates.

Please note that all plans are subject to any changes in public health measures and each ceremony will comply with any COVID-19 protocols that are in place at the time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General FAQs

  • An email was sent to all 2020/2021 graduates whose email address we have on file requesting that they register through Marching Order, our online ticketing system. If you did not receive that email, please contact us at gradcelebration@sheridancollege.ca

  • Each graduate can request up to four (4) guest tickets. Please note that the graduate does not require a guest ticket to attend their ceremony.

  • Gown size is determined by your height. Please be sure to enter your height when completing the RSVP form through Marching Order.

You'll pick up your gown on the day of your ceremony at The International Centre.

Please note: Gowns are rented and need to be returned before you leave the venue. Gowns removed from The International Centre will be charged to the graduate.

  • No. Robes and/or hoods must be returned at the end of the ceremony. Items removed from The International Centre will be charged to the graduate.

  • 2020 and 2021 graduates received their credentials via UPS when they completed their program.

If you require a replacement diploma/degree, please contact the Office of the Registrar at academic-history@sheridancollege.ca.

Please note: Sheridan does not provide copies of credentials. If you are declaring a lost certificate, there is a replacement fee of C$50. For lost or misplaced credentials, the Office of the Registrar will flag the original one as invalid. Once you have reached out to the Office of the Registrar you will be sent payment information. When they receive your payment, they will reprint your diploma/degree and mail it to you.

  • Please RSVP by Thursday, May 26, 2022 to ensure you reserve your gown and guest tickets, and to record your name to ensure that the reader pronounces your name correctly when you cross the stage.

Ceremony FAQs

  • Graduates must be checked in one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. The process to prepare for the ceremony takes approximately one hour (select gown, register for marshalling card, receive instructions for procession, etc.).

  • We suggest business or business casual attire. However, it can be quite warm under the gown, so we suggest something cool.

  • The gowns don’t have pockets, so personal belongings should be minimal.

    Graduates should bring government-issued identification.

We recommend you bring your stole and honour cords that you received in your Graduation Celebration Box if you would like to cross the stage wearing them. Please note we will not be providing extra stoles or honour cords for those who forget to bring them. Honour cords were only given to those graduates that achieved honours.

Health and Safety FAQs

  • Masks must be worn at all times while inside The International Centre. Cloth masks are allowed, however, we strongly recommend wearing a medical grade mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided upon entering. Individuals may lower their masks while actively eating or drinking.

  • Proof of vaccination is not required, but a mask must be worn at all times while inside The International Centre.

  • Yes. Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the venue.

  • To ensure everyone’s safety, there will be no handshakes when crossing the stage.

You may lower your mask for your photo.
