Occupation-specific Language Training (OSLT) Programs

Please note: The College will be closed from December 22, 2017 and we will be returning on January 2, 2018.

Sheridan's OSLT Programs is a FREE work-oriented language and communication skills course for newcomers to Canada.

If you are internationally trained and experiencing communication barriers to finding appropriate work in Canada then OSLT can help you improve your employability by improving your workplace communication skills within your specific profession.

Our OSLT Program provides:

  • Workplace communication skills specific to your field of study
  • Understanding of workplace culture in Ontario
  • Communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a variety of people in the workplace
  • Develop strong interviewing, networking and career-building skills

OSLT Business: Project Management
Davis Campus in Brampton
January 9, 2018 to March 31, 2018       
Tuesdays and Thursdays (in-class) from 6:30pm-10:00pm   
Approximately 8 hours of online per week

OSLT Business: Professional Management
Hazel McCallion Campus (HMC) in Mississauga
January 9, 2018 to March 31, 2018 
Tuesdays and Thursdays (in-class) from 6:30pm-10:00pm

January 8, 2018 to March 31, 2018  
Mondays and Wednesdays (in-class) from 6:30pm-10:00pm

    Program Eligibility

    To be eligible, you need to meet the following requirements:

    • Canadian Status is one of the following: 
      • A Permanent Resident
      • A Convention Refugee (Notice of Decision)
      • Government Assisted Refugee (GAR)
      • Privately Sponsored Refugee (PSR) 
      • Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores of 6
      • Post-secondary degree or diploma 
      • Relevant work experience

      If you are a newcomer to Canada, you may be eligible for LINC or ELT programs.

      • Trafalgar Campus (Oakville) on Wednesdays at 10:30am in room B358
      • HMC Campus (Mississauga) on Thursdays at 10:30am in room B320C
