The Sheridan Skills Competition is an opportunity for students from various programs in the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology to work against the clock while showcasing their skills in friendly peer-to-peer competition. The second-annual event took place on March 4, 2019 at Davis Campus in Brampton.

This year, the competitions expanded their focus to include programs outside of the skilled trades. The programs represented included:  Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Plumbing, Computer Engineering, Precision Machining, Millwright Mechanics, Media Management, Web Design, Welding, Business and Office Administration.

Student competitors showed focus throughout the day and displayed exceptional teamwork skills by assisting one another during events. Winners were awarded bronze, silver, and gold medals as well as prizes from generous sponsors. One student was even offered a job based on his performance.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants in this year’s competition! We hope to see you next year for an even bigger event.
