Justin Marteleira has been teaching at Sheridan with the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology since 2018, teaching a wide variety of electrical courses at the certificate, diploma and apprenticeship level in the School of Skilled Trades.

Justin has been working as an electrician in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors since 2006, possessing a 309a Red Seal and Master Electrician Licence. He has notable industry experience in the following industries: water distribution, precision manufacturing, metal fabrication and pharmaceutical.

Before taking an opportunity for an electrical apprenticeship, he spent five years working in the manufacturing and construction industries and served in the Canadian Army Reserve.

While enjoying training and providing instruction in the field, becoming a full-time educator was something that Justin had never planned. In 2017, he began teaching electrical programs in the Continuing Education program at Mohawk College where he realized his passion for teaching. In 2018 Justin began his career at Sheridan College part-time, transitioning to a full-time faculy member in 2019.

To prepare and inspire students and apprentices in the electrical field to take on the mindset of becoming lifelong learners in their future careers, Justin loves to share his passion for theory and applied techniques while relaying his experiences.
