Herb  Lochbihler

Professor, School of Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship

Herb graduated from Sheridan College with a diploma in Computer Science and Technology and entered what ended up being a substantial two decade career in Information Technology. After 25 years in IT, Herb reshaped his experience in manufacturing and management to a second successful career in construction and renovation.

Herb gained critical skills in training and education for adult learners through guiding SMEs (small and medium enterprise) through the acquisition and implementation of ERP systems. As an instructor for the Dual Credit program operating out of the Skilled Trades Centre, Herb developed and has taught the construction curriculum for Career Opportunities in Technical Trades (COTT) program since 2007.

Throughout his career, Herb has continued to develop his knowledge base through professional associations and by accreditation with organizations such as the Canadian Association for Production and Inventory Control (CAPIC / APICS) for which he was President of the Hamilton Chapter. Herb is also involved in Halton through community organizations such as Jaycees International, local service clubs, Habitat for Humanity and the MasoniChIP programme.
