Dragan Jovanov

Professor, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology

Dragan Jovanov has over 30 years of combined industry and teaching experience on two continents.

In Europe, Dragan worked in design and project management in shipbuilding and synthetic rubber manufacturing facilities, processing plants and equipments, and residential HVAC systems. In North America, he focused on improving manufacturing processes, capacity, and efficiency in manufacturing using Six Sigma Black Belt knowledge and skills.

Dragan’s teaching career spans three decades, and has focused on design of systems and products, and the theory of elasticity-related subjects. He joined Sheridan College in 1999, and has since taught a variety of courses, mostly within the Mechanical Engineering – Design and Drafting program. Dragan has also been involved in developing/updating more than a dozen courses at Sheridan. His present areas of interest include additive manufacturing and sustainable design.
