Sheryl Thompson was a graduate of the Social Service worker Program at Sheridan College in 2006 she  continued her education with a Bachelor in Social work from the York University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Windsor. Her work experience spans across various sectors as she has experience working with clients in settings such as domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, Ontario works, homeless, harm reduction, her greatest passion is  giving back to youth in underprivileged neighbourhoods. Her work history includes developing curriculum for Universities in the area of Social Work, counselling trauma victims, and creating and implementing government funded programs.  Sheryl joined Sheridan in January 2013 part time as a professor in the Social Service Worker and Community Worker programs and serves as a Field Placement Coordinator and Liaison for both the Social Service Worker and Community Worker Programs. “I have to say that the professors I had at Sheridan truly provided a lasting impression on me so much so that I welcomed the opportunity to come “home” to Sheridan” and be a part of the team.
