Dr. Beca joined Sheridan College in Aug 2012 after completing her postdoctoral studies at the University of Toronto Medical School in the Department of Physiology. Dr. Beca earned her doctoral degree at the University of Calgary Medical School and Medical degree in her native Serbia.  Her long standing research interests are in the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying heart failure. Dr. Beca’s teaching areas include Human Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Health & Aging, Pathophysiology, Statistical and Research Methods.

Sheridan Research Focus

Dr. Beca’s research interests are focused on the role of exercise and behavioural interventions in cardiovascular rehabilitation and optimization of aging.
