Jigisha earned her Bachelor's of Computer Applications degree and Master's of Computer Applications degree from Sardar Patel University, India. In 2012, she began research work and earned her  Doctor of Computer Science in 2016. Her research work focused on speech recognition for the Gujarati language.

Jigisha has been working in Computer Science education for more than 10 years in various graduate and post graduate courses. Prior to joining Sheridan, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department at Sardar Patel University, India. Jigisha joined Sheridan in 2017 as a part-time professor, and in 2018 became a full-time professor in the Mobile Computing degree program.

At Sheridan, Jigisha teaches students of various computer programs from their first term through their last. In her leisure time, Jigisha loves reading books, exploring new places and spending time with her child.

Teaching Interests

  • Her primary teaching interests are programming principles, mobile computing, object-oriented programming, web development, and system administration with her major concentration being mobile application development.
