Tony Depascal

Tony Depascal brings over 35 years of experience in the Canadian and International Banking sectors to his role as a Member of Sheridan’s Board of Governors. His expertise includes leadership, change management, training, sales, marketing and finance.

Since 2001, he has held the role of Vice President, Commercial Banking, Peel Supply Chain at RBC, where he manages a $1.3 billion portfolio spread over 1000 clients in the Manufacturing, Wholesale and Transportation industries. He previously worked in a number of other roles at RBC, including Manager, Sales Management; Manager, Franchise Banking; Manager, Corporate Training; and Senior Account Manager Commercial Banking. Prior to joining RBC, Tony worked at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto and Seattle, Washington as Assistant Manager – Corporate Accounts.

Tony has also been an active participant and advisor to numerous local business and community organizations, including as a Member of Governing Council for the Brampton Board of Trade; Member of the Awards Committee for the Indo Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Member of Founding Committee for the Brampton Small Business Enterprise Center; Member of the Advisory Committee for the Brampton Economic Development Committee; and Member of the Awards Committee for the Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement.

Tony holds a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McMaster University. In addition, he has completed the Institute of Canadian Bankers Professional Banking Program, the RBC Commercial Banking Leadership Program, the Executive Sales Management Program at Queens University and the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute.
