Randy is a graduate of the Sheridan Business Program (1982), The Queens Executive Program (1995) and the University of Toronto Rotman School of Business MBA Program (2004). He is also a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors (IDC.D designation) Corporate Governance program at U of T Rotman 2005, and the Harvard Business School Strategic Planning and Competitive Advantage Course (2007).
Randy spent 14 years with Bausch & Lomb, a $2 billion multinational leader in the eye care business. Rising through the ranks as a high achiever, Randy became the Corporate Vice-President of the Canadian subsidiary and was hand picked as one of 17 strategic minds from over 26 operating companies around the globe to create the global strategic plan. In 1998 Randy founded Virox Technologies Inc., a company with a patented technology in disinfection and sterilization marketed through several leading global partners such as Bayer, STERIS Corp., and JohnsonDiversey. The venture is very successful and has appeared three times in Profit magazine’s “Companies to Watch “rankings. Additional coverage has appeared in the Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, National Post and on Report on Business Television. In November 2006, Virox was the recipient of the prestigious Canadian American Business Council Award for business excellence.
Randy is a frequent speaker at universities, colleges and venture capital events. Married with three children, Randy resides in Mississauga.
