Dr. Mary Louise Noce is the Associate Dean in the School of Community Studies.  She holds a PhD in Sociology and Equity Studies from the Ontario Institute for the Study of Education at the University of Toronto and a Master of Social Work from Carleton University. Prior to joining Sheridan College, Mary Louise taught at the University of Toronto within the Transitional Year Program and was a principal investigator on a number of community-based research projects.  Her scholarly and policy publications have focused on welfare state restructuring and support networks; targeted interventions for income inequality and the racialization of poverty.  While at Sheridan, Mary Louise was a Professor of Social Science within the General Arts and Science program where she taught sociology and coordinated General Education.  She brings extensive curriculum development expertise from working with faculty across the college on developing and renewing curriculum as a consultant within the Network for Innovation and Leadership in Education.  Mary Louise serves on and chairs a number of College committees.   She continues to be an active scholar in the areas of teaching and learning.
