Sujaykumar Vardhmane is a Professor, Human Resources in the Pilon School of Business at Sheridan College. Sujay is a Global Human Resources Professional, Thought Leader and Professor who inspires students to have a "Growth and Global Mindset". He encourages students to build for their future by investing in education, professional network, people management and managing up. He believes that through teaching one can inspire and transform the lives of students. It is this opportunity and responsibility that he enjoys and that drives him to give back and enable student success.
He brings extensive global (Canadian, Middle Eastern, [United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia] and Indian) and diverse industry work experience in the field of human resources spanning across banking (Scotiabank), insurance (Emirates Insurance), pharmaceuticals (Boots), engineering (Alcan, Mazrui Engineering), food services (AFS - Spinney's), manufacturing (Sigma), consulting (Strategic Human Capital) and academia (Sheridan College, University of Toronto, Ryerson University).
Sujay is professionally qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.), Master of Personnel Management (MPM), Human Resources Post Diploma (HRPD), Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL). He is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Strategic Capability Network (SC Network).
It is his education coupled with the width and depth of HR work experience that enables Sujay to teach a range of HR courses – Human Resources Management, HR Planning, Recruitment & Selection, Training & Development, Compensation Management, Employment Law & Diversity, Organizational Behaviour, Industrial Relations and Occupational Health & Safety.
He is a sought-after advisory committee member, keynote speaker, panellist and workshop facilitator and has spoken at the annual conferences of the Conference Board of Canada, the Job Opportunity Information Network (JOIN) and the Canadian Immigrant, Career, Education and Settlement Fair.
Sujay has authored "Diversity & Inclusion Councils – Toolkit for diversity and inclusion practitioners" for the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI).
