Silva joined the Pilon School of Business as a full time professor of Mathematics in August 2018. She has nine years of teaching and research experience at both secondary and postsecondary levels around the GTA. Silva has been teaching at Sheridan Faculty of Applied Science & Technology as a partial-load professor from 2017 to 2018. She also taught at York University, and in the Peel and Halton District School Boards. Silva holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Biology, a Bachelor of Education, a Masters in Applied Mathematics, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from York University, Toronto. Her graduate research topic focuses on applications of mathematics in Molecular Biology.
