Laura brings a wealth of teaching and training experience to her role as a full-time professor in the Pilon School of Business.  Laura's background includes developing materials and delivering training on multimedia asset management software to worldwide clients including Sony, Disney Interactive, American Color, and British Telecommunications; delivering made-to-order instruction on computer applications, document management, and database systems to companies like Molson Breweries, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, Procor, and the City of Mississauga; and assisting with the seamless rollout of Sheridan's corporate financial, student, and human resource management information systems through the design and delivery of specialized courses and one-on-one support.

Laura has a long-standing relationship with Sheridan. She has taught courses related to integrated office applications, document and workflow systems, web development, project management, marketing, and human resource information systems to students in part-time, post-secondary, and post-graduate programs in the Faculty of Continuing Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Skills Development and Training division, and the Pilon School of Business.  She also designed, developed and delivered customized training to college faculty and staff as a member of Sheridan's Technology Training Task Force, assisted with the facilitation and delivery of College corporate training initiatives, and played an integral role in ensuring a smooth transition to laptop-based delivery methodologies in the Pilon School of Business through her role as Coordinator of Mobile Computing.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Education degree, Laura is a graduate of Sheridan's Human Resource Management Post Graduate Certificate Program, and a Microsoft Office User Specialist. Laura engages in continuous lifelong learning through reading, research, and online education programs.

Laura takes great pleasure in teaching a wide variety of courses to students at all levels, and particularly enjoys discovering and implementing unique and interesting ways of delivering content, both in the classroom and online.  Her commitment to excellence in teaching and learning was recognized in 2002 when Laura was the recipient of Sheridan's Teaching Excellence Award, and in 2005 when she received the Ontario College Educational Technology Impact Award.

Laura currently teaches primarily in the Human Resource, Marketing Management, and Project Management post-graduate programs, and provides guidance to Business faculty in the hybrid delivery of the first semester Computer Applications in Business course, through her role as Coordinator.
