Genevieve is a professor and researcher at Sheridan College.  Prior to teaching, Genevieve worked for 10 years as a process engineer for an engineering consulting firm on water and waterwater projects, and for 8 years as a plant process engineer in corn wet milling and sugar refining operations in Canada, the US and the UK in operations, research, plant design and process scale up.

In her current role at Sheridan, Genevieve's role includes teaching and research.  In 2023, Genevieve was awarded a Sheridan Growth Grant to research the feasibility of using oyster mushrooms to break down plastics.  Genevieve has also lead research projects looking at improving plastics recycling processes, and using computational fluid dynamics to model chemical processes in EV manufacturing.

Research Interests

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling of chemical process systems, alternative energy generation, plastics recycling and decomposition
