Angjelina Konini joined the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology as a full time Professor of Mathematics in January 2022. She has eleven years of teaching and research experience at both secondary and postsecondary levels. Angjelina has been teaching at Sheridan School of Applied Computing as a partial-load professor since 2017. She also taught at York University and in the Peel District School Board. Angjelina holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Biology, a Bachelor of Education, a Masters in Applied Mathematics, and a PhD in Mathematics from York University, Toronto. Her graduate research topic focuses on mathematical modelling of infectious disease and the impact of pathogen-host dynamics on optimizing intervention strategies (e.g., vaccination).
