Stephen Sayer is a Sheridan alumnus, having studied Classical Animation a millenium ago. After graduating, he branched out into CG, and built a freelance career doing 3D animation and visualization. He also began teaching at several institutions, including Sheridan.
In 2011, Steve joined the VFX industry, becoming a lead Dynamics artist at Soho VFX in Toronto. With the talented team at Soho, Steve had the opportunity to contribute to many high-profile feature films, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Revenant, and Logan.
In 2019, he joined the Computer Animation program as a full-time member of the faculty. He has been enjoying his new role and is looking forward to continuing to teach and mentor students, and to help develop and refine Sheridan's computer animation curriculum.
