Kristin Bourne

Biography

Kirstin Bourne is the Research Operations Coordinator for Sheridan’s Centre for Applied AI and the Centre for Intelligent Manufacturing, where she supports the operations, planning, and partnerships that enable applied research and innovation to thrive.

Overseeing a range of operational functions, including project coordination, budget and procurement support, communications, research administration, and stakeholder engagement, Kirstin helps develop efficient workflows, advance strategic initiatives, and ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the research centres. Working closely with research leadership, staff, students, and industry partners, Kirstin fosters collaboration and helps support opportunities for students and researchers to address real-world challenges through applied research.

Kirstin holds an MSc in Physical Geography from the University of Toronto and brings extensive experience leading operations and programming for academic, research, non-profit, and cultural organizations.
