Prior to joining Sheridan, Nancy worked in several business office roles, including administrative assistant, legal assistant, marketing and communications manager and trainer. As a Microsoft specialist, she keeps abreast of version changes, and in her capacity as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, she has taught international students both in the classroom and online.

As a subcontractor for Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s LearnIT2Teach program, Nancy provides extra-provincial training for technology use in the classroom to ESL teachers. She mentors other teachers online, and helps them to create blended classrooms using web-based courseware.

Nancy’s formal education includes a BA in English (University of Toronto) and a BEd in adult education (Brock University), and she is a Certified TESL Ontario instructor. In 2013, Nancy completed her MEd in distance education from Athabasca University.

Nancy has been an instructor at Sheridan since 2010. She teaches business software courses in the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, and also teaches in the Faculty of Business. She is a program coordinator for the MOS and office administration programs with Sheridan’s Continuing and Professional Studies.
