Originally from Liverpool, England, Gillian began her training at age 10 when she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School in London. Upon graduating at age 18 with honours, she went on to perform with several ballet companies including The Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre and The National Ballet of Canada. Gillian’s debut in musical theatre was in the original Toronto company of The Phantom of the Operawhere she performed the principle role of Meg Giry. She spent six years touring with Donny Osmond as Dance Captain and Children’s Choir Director in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Having completed her M.A. in Dance at York University, she is currently the Faculty Lead in the Dance Discipline in the Honours Bachelor Music-Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan College, where she is excited to be witnessing the future stars of Musical Theatre. As a guest teacher, she continues to share her knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement across the country.
