Gillian began her professional training at the age of 10 when she was accepted into the prestigious Royal Ballet School in London. While still a student she was chosen to represent Great Britain in an International Dance Festival in Tel Aviv, Israel, and performed for Her Majesty the Queen in the Royal Variety Performance. Gillian went on to perform with several ballet companies over the next seven years including The Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre and The National Ballet of Canada, and worked with many of the great dancers and choreographers of our time such as Rudolph Nureyev, Karen Kain, Evelyn Hart, Glen Tetley, Robert Desrosiers, John Alleyne, Erik Bruhn, David Parsons and Ronald Hynd. She has performed in various Opera Houses around the world including Covent Garden, Sadlers-Wells Theatre, Berlin Opera House and The Metropolitan Opera House in New York where she premiered Glen Tetley’s ballet Alice. Gilian’s debut in Musical Theatre was in The Phantom of the Opera where she performed the principle role of Meg Giry. She then spent six years touring with Donny Osmond in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as performer, Dance Captain and Childrens Choir Director.
