Office of the Senior Vice President, Strategy & Engagement

Rajan Sandhu has been a member of the Sheridan community for more than nine years, serving in various leadership roles, including as Sheridan's interim President from June 2025–January 2026. He has also served as Special Adviser to the President and General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to the Board of Governors, and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Engagement. His experience spans a wide range of portfolios, including legal, institutional data, strategic planning, branding and global engagement.

As part of Sheridan's President and Vice Presidents (PVP) leadership team since 2019, he has played a central role in priority initiatives, most recently leading the development of Sheridan's new Strategic Plan, Galvanizing Education – Sheridan 2027: Forging the Future. Having represented Sheridan on an international scale through global engagement, he was instrumental in transforming Sheridan's international recruitment function by developing and implementing initiatives to enhance the international student recruitment strategy, optimizing outreach efforts, and building on global partnerships. He also co-led the process of creating the Brampton Charter for Improving the International Student Experience.

Rajan is active in his community and serves on the Board of various community organizations and engages in pro bono legal work. He is a keen traveler and has visited over 35 countries on six continents. He earned his B.Com (Hons) in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management, and his LLB from City, University of London. He also holds the Certified In-House Counsel (CIC.C) designation through the Rotman School of Management and the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association.
