Our instructors will guide you through an intense curriculum, teaching you all of the stages required to create compelling moving images. Enjoy creative and technical flexibility in your final projects, allowing you to explore and specialize.
Sheridan was the first animation school to teach computer animation, and we're still industry leaders today. Our instructors have worked on hundreds of television and film projects for major international studios. They're also mentors who are committed to supporting your success. You'll learn proven real-world solutions to production challenges while staying current with emerging tools and techniques.

In addition to your individual assignments, you'll also have opportunities to collaborate with professors and peers in our immersive and supportive studio environment. Using state-of-the-art facilities to create animated projects and a signature demo reel is great preparation for your first day on the job.
Sheridan has an arrangement with the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art and Design (IADT) in Ireland. Graduates of Sheridan's Computer Animation post-grad certificate program from 2009 or later can apply to IADT to earn their master's degree in 15 weeks.

Earning your master's in 3D animation can open up a world of exciting and promising career possibilities.
It demonstrates a high calibre of academic and professional achievement, and will be an asset to finding employment in the industry. A master's degree is also necessary for those who want to pursue an academic career, such as teaching at the post-secondary level.
Sheridan is proud to offer an agreement with the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art and Design (IADT), near Dublin, Ireland—the first of its kind in Ontario.
Sheridan graduates who hold a post-grad certificate in Computer Animation or Digital Creature Animation from 2009 or later can apply to IADT and earn their master's degree in a 15-week study abroad program.
Eligible students who have their post-graduate certificate must also complete RDES75743: Research Methods for Creative Practices — a 7-week (42-hour) research methodologies course at Sheridan — and successfully complete the application process before they can study at IADT.
Applications are due December 1, 2020 for a January 2021 start (remote delivery). Successful applicants will be notified by December 15, 2020.
Students wishing to study 3D animation abroad must apply to IADT with:
IADT may call shortlisted candidates for interview via Skype.
Applicants with English as a second language must demonstrate a competency in English.
Students are responsible for securing the appropriate visa for their study period. IADT will produce a letter which confirms the student is registered in order to help secure the necessary visa.
For more information on how to apply please contact Noel Hooper (noel.hooper@sheridancollege.ca) or Sherra Murphy (sherra.murphy@iadt.ie).

In our Honours Bachelor of Computer Science program, you'll learn foundational skills that prepare you to work in any area of computer science. But you’ll also have the chance to specialize in one of four emerging fields that interests you the most.
In the first year of the program, you’ll be introduced to each of these four fields: cloud computing, data analytics, game engineering, and network engineering.
Then, you’ll focus your studies on your selected specialization. You’ll take eight courses in your specialization of choice, gaining specific skills that are not taught in traditional diploma and degree programs. Your computer science specialization will give you a competitive advantage when you graduate.
Get a deeper understanding of cloud computing — the delivery of computing system resources such as software, databases, servers, data storage, and more — over the Internet. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of private, hybrid or public cloud delivery.
Learn how to apply statistical analysis, data mining and other advanced techniques to draw new and useful insights from large data sets. Confidently interpret and share information about the data patterns you discover.
Master the algorithmic, programming and mathematical techniques used to develop software components for computer games.
Learn the specialized skills needed to plan, construct, optimize and manage the computer networks that businesses and organizations rely on every day.
