Sheridan partners with IAB Canada to build skills in digital marketing
Sheridan has partnered with IAB Canada to promote the development of digital marketing and advertising skills to help address a talent gap in the industry.
The partnership aims to help those currently working in the marketing/advertising industries enhance their skills to meet the ever-changing demands of the digital age, with a particular focus on social media, programmatic and ad operations.
“We’re proud to be the first Canadian postsecondary institution to enter into a partnership with IAB to help meet a clearly-defined need in the industry,” says Hasan Malik, Associate Vice President of Academic Pathways and Planning at Sheridan. “Together, we will provide students with opportunities to enhance their skills to meet evolving industry trends.”
This partnership will ensure standardized and advanced curriculum for the Digital Marketing courses that Sheridan offers. IAB Canada will also present special events and workshops at Sheridan.
“We are excited about the opportunities that will be developed for students, faculty, and those currently working in the industry in the near future as a result of this partnership,” says Sonia Carreno, President of IAB Canada. “By delivering IAB Canada-approved and accredited courses, we will reduce the gap between postsecondary education and industry needs.”
