Frank Prosia, President of Transpro Freight Systems, is named to Sheridan's Business Hall of Fame
Frank Prosia, Founder and President of Transpro Freight Systems Ltd. and a 1981 graduate of Sheridan's Business Administration program, was inducted into the Sheridan Business Alumni Hall of Fame at a ceremony held on June 4th at the Mississauga Convention Centre.
After graduating from Sheridan, Prosia landed a job with TNT Overland Express, which sparked his interest in the shipping industry and led him to launch his own company some years later. Today, Transpro has 160 employees and over 100 trucks, and also provides warehousing and distribution services. Transpro was named one of Canada's Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in 1991 and 1992; America's Top 20 Trucking Company by the Trucking Association of America; and chosen for four consecutive years by Canada's Shippers as Canada's Best Service Provider for International Trucking. The company's customers include Adidas, Lowes, Magna, Maple Leaf, Revlon and TJX Winners Canada.
The Sheridan Business Alumni Hall of Fame honours the accomplishments of outstanding business alumni who have become leaders in industry, as well as ongoing and generous supporters of the College. The achievements of our foremost business graduates serve as an inspiration to current and future generations of Sheridan business students.
Prosia joins an eminent group of previous Hall of Fame inductees including Darrell Keezer who founded leading digital marketing firm Candybox Marketing at the age of 23, Ian Oliver, President Metroland Media Group, Ron White, CEO and Creative Director of the luxury shoe company that bears his name, and Scott Stratten, President of Un-Marketing and a leading influencer in social media and engagement.
Prosia’s family and core team from TransPro Freight – whom he regards as family – were on hand to congratulate Prosia on his induction.
During the evening, Sheridan also presented 91 student awards recognizing academic achievement and key business competencies such as leadership qualities, community involvement and creative thinking.
