Over 7,000 students will reach a milestone in their lives when they cross the stage at the Living Arts Centre

This week, a total of 7,665 Sheridan graduates will cross the stage at the Living Arts Centre to embark on the next phase of their lives, armed with their certificate, diploma or degree. Eleven ceremonies will be held over four days, from June 10 – 13, with each one featuring a distinguished keynote speaker who will share their experiences and insight with the graduating classes from Sheridan’s five academic faculties. Artistic Director for TIFF Bell Lightbox, Noah Cowan drives the curatorial vision for the year-round programming in TIFF’s new home. He was previously Co-Director of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Other highlights of the week will include the presentation of the Governor General’s Award to the student with the highest academic record among the entire graduating class. This year’s recipient is Ashley Barnard, an immigrant from South Africa who is graduating from the Early Childhood Education program. She will receive her award at Wednesday’s 7:30 pm ceremony.
