
Sheridan President to Receive Distinguished Alumni Award

Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, President and CEO of Sheridan College, has been named by Athabasca University as the 2011 recipient of its Distinguished Alumni Award. Dr. Zabudsky graduated from Athabasca’s Master of Distance Education in 1999, one of the first graduates of this pioneering program.The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to an Athabasca graduate who is bringing honour to the university through outstanding contributions to his or her field or community.
Dr. Jeff Zabudsky joined Sheridan as its president in February, 2010. Previously, he served as President of Red River College in Winnipeg for six years, following a series of progressive positions with postsecondary institutions in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Ontario. He also holds a PhD in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ryerson University.
The Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented in Toronto on November 1.
