The latest Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Survey results, released today, show that Sheridan continues to lead the way among GTA colleges when it comes to students successfully completing their programs and graduating. The latest graduation rate for all of Sheridan’s programs is 70.9% - ahead of all other GTA colleges and well above the provincial average of 65%.

Even more impressive is the graduation rate for Sheridan's degree programs, which averaged 80.8% in the 2011-12 academic year. This compares more than favourably with the average degree graduation rate of 67.6% for all Ontario colleges and 81% posted by Ontario's universities for undergraduate programs in the same period.

“The latest KPI results reflect the tremendous success our degrees have enjoyed since we earned degree-granting status in 2003,” said Jeff Zabudsky, Sheridan’s President and CEO. “The application process is highly competitive, with 8.4 applicants for every first-year place. We’ve seen a steady increase in applications from across Canada to these high-demand programs - from 3,000 in 2009 to nearly 6,000 for the 2012 Fall term.”

Sheridan is projecting full-time enrolment of 3,500 students (17% of total enrolment) in degree studies this Fall, including five collaborative degrees offered in conjunction with the University of Toronto-Mississauga, York University and Brock University. “As we continue to grow the number of degree programs we offer, we’re well positioned to help meet the projected demand for new degree-level spaces in the GTA,” said Zabudsky.
