Services

The Health Centres provide physical and mental health services to Sheridan students. Physicians are available, by appointment. Registered Nurses can be seen on a drop-in basis. Services include:



- Physician appointments for physical and mental health concerns (including pap smears)

- Nurses provide appointments to address:    
  • Health teaching in relation to sexual health, wellness, nutrition and stress management
  • Sexually transmitted infection testing and follow-up
  • Birth control sales and counselling
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Emergency contraception
  • Immunizations, Tuberculosis (TB) testing and follow-up for placement requirements
  • Counselling and assistance in relation to managing medical needs as a student
  • Smoking cessation aids
  • Supportive counselling and mental health crisis intervention
