Wellness Events and Activities

Wellness events and activities are a great way to meet new people, try new things and get involved on campus. There are a lot of different events and activities taking place during the week at each campus. Check out the activities hosted by Counselling and Wellness Services listed below. We welcome you to come to as many as you can!

All activities are open to everyone: students, faculty, and staff; unless, stated otherwise.

Crunch Time Survival Kit

Do you feel panicked when it comes to deadlines and exams? Do you put your school work off only to stress about it the night before the due date? Well, look no further as we are here to help. Come learn how to survive “crunch time” with helpful tips!

Face It

Face It is a group for students and Sheridan Alumni with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) that gets together to build friendship and support. This group creates a great space for you to build social and leadership skills and learn how to advocate for ASD inside and outside the Sheridan community.

Mood Routes: Get Moving!

Mood Routes are weekly outdoor walks hosted by Counselling and Wellness Services. Walking in nature has many physical and mental benefits. Mood Routes is a great opportunity to:

  • Take a break from school
  • Get out of Class
  • Get in some extra steps
  • Get refreshed

All staff and students are welcome and no registration is required.

Smash Stress

The Smash Stress Badminton Club welcomes you to join us for some badminton, table tennis, build social connections, and a lot more!

Smash Stress is the perfect escape from a stressful day or week of whatever life may be throwing at you. It is a supportive environment where you can meet new people while engaging in activities. Wellness Wednesday

Sheridan, let’s unplug! Join us for weekly meditation and wellness sessions hosted every Wednesday. Wellness Wednesday is presented by Counselling and Wellness Services.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to use meditation to:

  • Manage stress better
  • Get better grades
  • Meet new people
  • Feel energized
  • Have more meaningful relationships
  • Be more focused

Wellness Wednesday is open to Sheridan students, faculty, and staff. No prior meditation experience is needed. We hope to see you there!

Worry Groups

Are worry and stress taking over your life? Come join us for an 8-week group where you can learn skills that will help you get back control of your life. FREE snacks and refreshments will be provided! To RSVP, email the Counselling team at Trafalgar Campus.
