Turning Red Banner

Experience the unapologetically rebellious, brazenly female-centric, and touchingly heartfelt film directed and co-written by Oscar-winner and Sheridan graduate, Domee Shi (Bachelor of Animation ‘11). Set in her hometown of Toronto, Turning Red is a new coming-of-age classic that delivers laughs and adventure for the whole family to enjoy. Join us for a special theatrical release of Turning Red on the big screen, as it was meant to be seen.

Released exclusively on Disney+ in March 2022, Turning Red is now hitting theatres for a limited time as part of the Pixar Special Theatrical Engagement. Dive into Mei's journey as she navigates the chaos of early adolescence and family expectations, while accompanied by her protective yet overbearing mother Ming. As if the growing pains of puberty weren’t enough, Mei discovers she has another big (and furry) issue—anytime she experiences strong emotions, she “poofs” into a giant red panda!

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this Oscar-nominated film in the fun and enchanting atmosphere of the theatre, surrounded by fellow fans. Let’s celebrate the Lunar New Year together and usher in the Year of the Dragon with this special event.
