Sandra HamiltonWe are very excited to introduce our first guest speaker: Sandra Hamilton, professional basketball player, designer and entrepreneur.

Sandra graduated from Sheridan’s Fashion Technique and Design program. She worked for a few designers after graduating but was ultimately led by her other passion: professional basketball. She played in Spain, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, England and the Majorca Islands, eventually winning the coveted Harry Jerome award, and was inducted three times into three different halls of fame for her talent (including Bruins Hall of Fame)!

After her basketball chapter ended, Sandra knew fashion still had a deep hold in her heart. She began creating designs for t-shirts, and in 2020 she collaborated with singer Keedron Bryant who wore one of her “Black Intelligence” t-shirts while singing, “I Just Wanna Live” on social media. The post went viral with almost four million views and inspired millions of people globally!

Sandra continued designing inclusive clothes for Bipoc people and allies from her online store SDHtoronto.com. Sandra has been interviewed by Ben Mulroney, Your Morning, as well as Tyrone Edwards, ET Canada, regarding her inclusive designs that speak 2U4U! Her designs have been featured on Oprah's Where Do We Go From Here? two-part episode, and have been posted by LeBron, Jennifer Aniston, Janet Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Beyonce's mom and many more! She has also worked with the Toronto Raptors, Fido, Shopify and a few more organizations.
