Social Service Worker ’18
Ravleen Kaur is providing an invaluable community service by helping victims of sex trafficking to turn around their lives and escape exploitation. She has been instrumental in putting in place a permanent program at SAVIS which extends crucial psychological and material supports to survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence. She creates awareness about human trafficking among vulnerable populations. She organizes meetings and seminars in colleges to educate students about sex trafficking and provides information to keep young people safe. She creates confidence in the community that she can always be reached for legal, psychological and logistical supports.
